They have Bibles, they have put Joseph Smith, a mason, above the Bible. And like so many other Churches today, they pick what they like and discard the rest.

considering the fact that we mormons use the bible as well, then I doubt that they would have accepted your offer. We have articles of faith that state what we believe. the 8th article says, ';We believe the bible to be the word of God, as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.'; Just to let you know.

By the way... I'm a memeber of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and I study the Bible very often. All members are couciled to study the KJV or the Bible.

When Mormons or other Jeezus loving freak show types come to my door and try to sell me their bag of tricks, I just very calmly tell them that my religion forbids me to make that decision by myself. I tell them that I have to ask my lord Satan if I can join their little cult and for them to come back next day for the answer... They never come back. LOL.
When anyone comes bringing false doctrine, then we are not suppose to accept them into our home, or accept the false doctrine. You did right by telling them no to their false book. I don't know if you should have handed them the Bible or not. Maybe, but, I doubt they would have taken it. As for them giving you dirty looks, it doesn't matter. We are not here to please false doctrine bearers.
Well, considering we already read and believe the Bible I don't think that would have done anything. I hope you were polite when you declined (kind of hard to tell from your question), some people can be such jerks to our poor missionaries.

They will tell you that they use the Bible , then in the next breath they say ';oh be sure and read the book of Morphony or someone like that';
I have nothing against no religion, but I think all the Religions are created to control people, to brain wash them, There is too many now that They don't even know what to believe, by the way the 'POPE' is just a joke.

No, that would neither have changed their mind nor helped your disposition, but if anybody comes to your door and they aren't a neighbor, a friend, or somebody telling you that you inherited a fortune, I would just say that you aren't interested.
During the recent PBS series on Mormons, a Louisiana man said he had always shut the door on the missionaries, and the after Katrina his door would always be open.

we have religious people come to our door every couple of weeks,I just say i am not interested and close the door.giving them a bible or talking about your own religion,can cause a lot problems,Almost every religion thinks it's their way or no way.
I find that very hard to believe. The Missionaries are always polite and accepting. They carry the Holy Bible with them. Over the years, I have talked to many Mormon Missionaries, and not once have they been mad. I am not a Mormon, but the Missionaries are kind and Respectful.
I am a christian and believe in the life and philosophy of Jesus. We are supposed to try and be more like Christ. Were You? Jesus was a Jew and showed us how we are to live with God and our fellow man. Love one another. Jesus said '; Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and all things will be delivered unto you';. If you are going to seek the truth, then you must explore other concepts, so you can make an informed decision! I have read the book of Mormon and they are Christians. I still profess to be a christian and came to that conclusion from a point of knowledge. I listened to my fellow man and studied his book, and respected his belief. It is just not the one for me. OK! I think you just failed the test!
Just pray for them, for God to show them what Truth is.
Usually the missionary's are very polite and patient even while being insulted, but there are a few mean ones.





There is no point in handing them a bible because they already have one, and bible bashing is pointless with a brainwashed missionary. You won't convert them and they won't convert you. It can be fun but it is a waste of your time and there's.





If you want to get rid of them just politely tell them that you do not want to hear there message. if they come back put a no missionary sign up (a no solicitation sign doesn't always work because they don't consider it solicitation) If they come by again simply get the phone number of there mission president and threaten to press charges.

It would have depended if you were angry at them being mad or caring and loving toward them.
