1) the ';False Prophet'; is described at Revelation 13:11-18. As noted in verse 11, the false prophet arises out of ';the earth.'; Throughout the Bible, God refers to the physical descendents of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as ';grains of sand,'; which is another word for what we would call dirt (this is not to imply that the Jews are dirty, it's just a metaphor). Because this false prophet arises from the ';earth,'; or dirt, he is depicted as being a Jew.





2) the antichrist will be a gentile and not of Jewish descent. Revelation 13:1 shows the antichrist arising out of ';the sea,'; which is a Biblical metaphor for gentile nations. Daniel 9:26 goes even further: we are told the antichrist will come from the people who destroyed Jerusalem and the Temple in 70 AD. Therefore, the antichrist will be of Italian descent.





Incidently, Daniel 9:26 and 27 proves the antichrist is ONE man, not many, as one answerer claims. A careful reading of 1 John 2:18 also confirms he will be ONE man who epitomizes the essense of the spirit of the antichrist that's been on the earth since Jesus' (temporary) death.





I believe that both men are alive today, waiting for their time to rise to power, which should be very, very soon.

I know what he isn't. He isn't just one person. The anti-christ is a word that describes many people and organizations. It means against Christ, just like the name implies. Anti Christ is only mentioned 5 times in the bible and all 5 times are in the epistles of John. Read them, they will tell you what the anti christ is.

I dont think any body knows, but the Bible does give us hints, like he will think to change Gods times and laws, he will think that he can forgive sins, and he will come out of Rome.....
