There are no math books that say ';2+2=5';, so why are there Bibles published with equally false assertions?

The same reason it's ok to publish other mythological books - it's fiction. There are no math books that say ';2+2=5';, so why are there Bibles published with equally false assertions?
Because it is a STORY, and as such can take liberty with The Way Things Are.There are no math books that say ';2+2=5';, so why are there Bibles published with equally false assertions?
hey if you dont believe then find something else to read.
That's too easy. Math books deal with facts and proveable truths. The bible is a book of fiction and unproveable (and impossible) myths.
Hey, I am all for atheism, if that is what you believe. But why come and post here with offensive comments such as yours? I respect your beliefs, why can't you respect mine?
LOL JC is the Man says there are no contradictions!!!!!! Someone get me some oxygen, i'm laughing too much today.......
Give it time. I'm sure there will be ';faith-based'; math in Kansas before you know it.
Well I read one book that claimed that there was this kid named Harry Potter...and that he was a wizard...now that isn't true so why did they publish that?!

Okay that's a big exaggeration but you get my point. Whether or not you believe in the Bible and what it says, it is still valuable historically in some aspects, as well as a good read(Well I can't vouch for that part, I havent read it all!).

And if you don't like it, don't read it. But at the same time, don't get upset at everyone else who does.
because its pure fiction. i read it. i like stephen king and john grisham better.
That is why they have disclaimers in the beginning.
The Bible does not have equally false assertions. Can anything in the Bible be reduced to simple math? The Bible never contradicts itself theologically and the Bible is rationally coherent.
Maybe the editors weren't very good.
Because, my dear sir, it is the greatest story ever SOLD.
How many dumb questions are you going to ask today?
