How can i prove to a very good friend, that the 'book of mormon' was written by a false prophet ?

One of the tests of whether or not a belief is grounded in reality is whether or not it can be proven to be true or false. If someone says, ';I don't care what evidence you show me, I will always believe,'; then that person's faith is not rooted in reality. And since Christianity is a religion of history, crucifixion, resurrection, an empty tomb, etc., it is a religion rooted in reality. If it could be proven beyond doubt that Jesus did not rise from the dead, then Christianity is a false religion. Likewise, if it could be proven that Joseph Smith was a false prophet, then Mormonism is a false religion. It just so happens that there is such a proof.

Do you know about Dee Jayy Nelsons translation of the papyra? Did you know he made false claims about his authority to translate them? That he was not an anthropologist or a Eyptology professor? He dropped out of high school, never recieved a degree.

He did buy a degree for $195 from ';diploma Mill'; which was closed by the attorney general. The above link is based off of this. Check your facts. Below are some sites that base their findings off of actual valid studies.

You would have to convince them that every ';holy word'; was written by a false prophet as well...for example the bible. You can not force someone to believe what you believe that wouldn't be fair. I mean stating your opinion is one thing but having to make someone believe your way??
Stop wanting to be right to make others wrong.

A blame game also inducts you in a hall of shame,

and division creates sides wars with side effects,

to both scape-goats and dumb-sheep on left %26amp; right.

Truth is open to scrutiny, but not to mutiny.

Start by noting we all are one, brethren all,

and ';there is no respect of persons with God';.

That leaves you and your friend in same boat,

and in my Bible fellow ship isn't the Titanic.

The ';grace'; of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.
In my experience, you can't.

First of all, rarely can anybody be convinced one way or another by someone's arguments in the areas of religion, abortion, gay rights, etc. They have to find out for themselves through their own experiences.

Secondly, the LDS religion in particular is very cultish about its views. They, typically in my experience, do not subscribe to logic. There's no way you can convince a Mormon of anything bad or nonsensical about their faith. I've tried. A lot.

Best of luck to working out this issue in your friendship.

Read it. Study it. Pray about it. Live the principles it teaches. See if they bring you closer to God and your Savior. If they do not, then tell your friend. Until then, you do not know if it is false and therefore can say nothing.
try to locate on line a group called ';The Lighthouse'; They are a group of ex mormons who are speaking out on all the lies of the mormom church.

I tried to explain to a couple of them what the bible says about someone adding to the bible,no one sees the face of God and lives...God's holy Spirit is all we need to walk His ways, many of Joseph Smith's prophesy were changed when they did not come to pass...and a true prophet of God's prophesy ALL come to pass..They didn't like hearing any of that as they are brainwashed into believing God uses only certain people as prophets...even women..Deborah was one in the bible.

I asked them to prove to me Joesph Smith was the chosen modern day prophet WITHOUT the book of mormoms %26amp; the Pearls of Wisdom.Mohomed was thought to be a prophet %26amp; wrote the koran..studying it,I found that he was actually deranged and had fits of sorts all his life...

Look up online Jeosph Smith also as he is the prophet they speak of..the key to exposing the teachings are not right is to prove that Joseph Smith was indeed NOT a ture prophet
Remove the ';M'; after the ';R'; in Mormon and she'll see the truth of this religion.
leave your friend alone. If you are a real friend you will respect her right to her own beliefs. Never mind all of the ridiculous DaVinci bull.....people are so ridiculous
You can't. All you can do is discuss your feelings about the Book of Mormon with your friend. She will either agree or disagree with you.
There are many great books on the subject. Go to a Bible book store, and you will find them in the Cult section or Other Religion section.
this site has really good dvds exposing mormonism. Good luck and keep that person in prayer.
You can't.If they believes that the Book of Mormon is true then you are powerless. Plus if you were a good friend you would let them believe what they want. Then again you didn't say you where a good friend just that they were.
How can your friend prove to you that the Book of Mormon was written by a true prophet of God?
Make your good friend watch the South Park episode called All About The Mormons?

It contains very funny and accurate animated flashbacks to the birth of the Church of Mormons.

you have nothing to prove....let her/him stay of what she/he believes...
You don't. Everyone has an individual path to follow, its not up to you to choose or steer anyone in the direction you think they should be.
In the bible, it states in the book of Matthews that Jesus was born in Bethlehem but in the book of mormons it states that a prophet named alma stated that He would be born in Jerusalem. The book of mormons also states that Christians were here before Jesus came. In the word of God, Acts 11 Chapter states that the first Christians were in ANTIOCH after Jesus came. Acts 2:22-36

The book of mormons was written by a Joseph Smith. The bible was written 40 men that confirm what they spoke about and perform and saw miracles.

I pray that this helps.

SHALOM
This is a touchy subject, because people who believe a religion tend to rely on their set belief on the subject.

One way you could attempt is to point out some of the flaws in the belief system. For example, the concept of celestial wives, which (if I've got this right) allows that people will have marriage in heaven, was specifically denied by Jesus.

The book of Mormon, from what I've heard, has large sections plagiarized from the King James bible, and a science fiction novel, sometimes word for word.

But, if you tell an orange farmer that oranges are bad for you, regardless of proof you offer, they won't believe you.

In the same way, a person who has their soul set on a religion will believe that it their truth is the only truth.
You should point out proofs of Mary Magdalene in The Da Vinci Code. Soon, she will recieve enlightenment from Dan Brown himself!!
