How do you know if a religious book is true/false?

I am currently reading a book about God and I want to know if it is true or not. How do I find out? Any success stories?How do you know if a religious book is true/false?

Study the History of Mankind on this planet and you'll learn things that religion doesn't tell you. Did you know that for thousands of years, God was originally worshiped as a woman? It was religion that changed God into a man.
iv no success stories (i kinda hate my god), but there is no definite way to tell if its true or not. but i guess that's what so called ';faith'; would be. blindly accepting a truth, that may in fact be a lie.
As soon as you hear the word ';god'; just replace it with LIE.
