Everyone has a book in them but whether they make anything of it is another thing. Most people don't. Only 3% or something of would-be novelists actually succeed in completing their novel. It takes commitment and consistent dedication to writing to achieve a final coherent result, i.e a novelEveryone has a book in them - True or False?
Fiction - I actually wrote a short story already
and I'm planning to publish my poems
True you are living a book day by day ever seen The NeverEnding story there is always a begining a middle and an end
PEOPLE MAKE DREAMS AND THEY IMAGINE THINGS THAT THEY CANT HAVE OR THINGS THAT THEY WANT TO ACCOMPLISH. A BOOK IS ';IMAGINATION';. THAT'S WHY ANSWERS WOULD NOT BE SIMILAR TO YOUR QUESTION EVERY ONE IS DIFFERENT...........
True, but getting the book out of them is another story. Mine is struggling to get out and, if it ever gets finished, will be fiction on the surface but drawing on my own experiences throughout. I'm not sure this is the best idea but it's the only way it seems to work for me right now.
Yahoo Answers is my displacement activity.
If you ever discuss with someone your story writing plans and experiences, others will get annoyed, butt in, say that you are pretentious, etc. Sadly, the vast majority are unimaginative conformity clad zombies. Very doubtful if they have a book in them - certainly not of any worth to people that like to read.
My brain is a cauldron of outlandish, humorous, violent, imaginative and heterodox thoughts. I tend to enjoy writing Science Fiction, horror or comic fiction (or an amalgam of the three).
Everyone has a story in them, but not everyone has the inclination or the talent to put it onto paper effectively.
I still plan to write the great Canadian novel one day! I've only written a novella, some short stories %26amp; several poems so far. Had a few poems published. But lately I'm writing songs (I play acoustic guitar %26amp; sing...)
The great thing about writing is that you can do it at any age. I could be 85 yrs old %26amp; write a novel! So there's still plenty of time. It would have to be factual. For me, writing is therapy. I write from my experience. I think a writer has to write what they know. That way it's passionate %26amp; honest %26amp; rings true.
Probably one of those depressing Russian tragedy's where not even the hero gets out of it alive.
Oh, I'm sorry, I originally thought you meant what the genre of the story of my life would be. My error. I have attempted to write a romance, and Sci-Fi, and fantasy. Maybe I could write a Sci-Fi Harlequin Romance with Hogwarts characters riding dragons on a mail route between Pern and Darkover? Except that you would have to be a really good author to carry that off.
Everyone has a book in them?
No, I had mine surgically removed.
romantic
One day, I will write a book, my blog site is my reminder and notebook...a true story too...
I swallowed a library book once
Horror.
Just kidding. Probably something between romance and suspense. Maybe a suspense/mystery with some romance thrown in for good measure.
I've been trying for years to write a serious thriller with no success - recently changed tactics - I'm going for a kids story.
that would depends on your definition of a book.some people may have a novel or several novels in them, others may have comics or to use the present term- graphic novel, while still others have have magazines in them , then there those who have blank exercise books in them. if i write i would consider a fantasy sci fi story for starters. gabe
absolutely true , fiction which helps you play with your imagination and lets out subdued feelings inside you
Actually i was just thinking of that idea yesterday!!
i was thinking about writing a diary about a trip or so....then changing it to become a bit more exciting and adventurous!!
So its a story based on a real character and real life!
Oh totally I could write an Epic and I'only 22.I'm off to get a bit more life experience first.I would probaly have it like an autobiography, but write it in 3rd person.
I think the 13 novels I've already written speak for themselves...
Yes, everyone has a book in them. Unfortunately, most of the books are unoriginal and badly written (and published).
I would choose a child's book. I even have a title but I haven't written it yet...it would be a fictional/factual account of the lives on my kids.
One day I'd love to write both real literature that would count as one of the classics and women's literature as well. Right now I'm working on a story that would belong to the latter category and it's amazing how I can use completely ordinary things I hear or see as I'm walking homewards from school.
i'd have to go with non-fiction with slightly fictional add-ins, so i could use my own life experiences plus elaborations.
i would either write a horror book because when i get up on a morning i look like something out of one or i would write an adventure book because i'm always day dreaming about different adventures.
All the world's a stage and we all take part in the great story of life.
mmmm action / romantic / tradegy............thats me to a t
False, most people cannot construct ideas in a strucutured way.
Jsut read YA to see how bad the ';office'; section of our society is. Then when you average this out with the rest of the polulation you realise the average is somewhere below sea level.
childrens stories as i am a big kid myself !!!
Historical fiction, ensuring that the facts were correct. We all remember Braveheart!
It took me ten years of persistence but it finally got published!

True I think - but for most people, it's not a good one!
I'd like to write some really far-out Lovecraftian horror/sci-fi.
Of course everyone has a book in them. The trouble is that some people have 'Great Expectations' and some people have 'Mr Bump goes to the park'.
I would (and have often though about) write a book about my life growing up in my evolving extended family. It would be factual to the best of my knowledge, but it would probably be seen as fictional. Briefly, 'hilights' would include Suicide, Abandoned children, bankruptcy, fraud, mental health issues, alcoholism.
The list goes on.
