I have a distinct memory of a third 'Alice' book written by Lewis Carroll in the nineteenth century, with the same style of drawings. I know about Jeff Noon's book and others, but this isn't it. I can remember getting it out of the library, what it looked like, the illustrations and the story - roughly, it was about Alice being ill in bed and going to find her ';sea legs'; with a hot water bottle which came to life. Nonetheless, i can find no reference to this book anywhere. It isn't like a dream because i can give dates and times for it, and it fits in with other experiences which i can verify, but regardless, this book seems never to have existed. Can anyone help me with this puzzle? I've wondered about it since childhood.Third 'Alice' book false memory?
All of Lewis Carroll's writings about Alice are mentioned here: http://lewiscarrollsociety.org.uk/pages/鈥?/a>
(You may find what you seek. If it's not mentioned, it doesn't exist.)Third 'Alice' book false memory?
He didn't write a third himself, I don't think. Others have written variations and I found The Further Adventures of Alice at this website:

It was written by Curtis Crassous in 1908. If you follow the links at the bottom of the page you can also see other adaptions, retellings, and possible continuations of her adventures.
