I say true definitely, but im not a big fan of tv. What do you think?
Why yes, now that you mention it (I dont care if you didnt really mention anything, lets just pretend you did) I am just asking this because I'm bored. The book is ALWAYS better than the movie. True or false?
If you read the book first i find the books ALWAYS better i have never found a movie that doesn't go by that. I usually read the book before i see the movie anyway. However if you watch the movie first people find that the book isn't as good. But i always like the books better because you have to use your imaginationThe book is ALWAYS better than the movie. True or false?
So far I have never watched a movie that is better than the book. I have watched many movies though, that if you hadn't read the book it is probably a good movie, but once you get to read the book you realize how much more detail and complexity there is to the story. In this cases I would never say that the book is better than the movie, because although movies can make a book justice, it is impossible for it to be exactly like the book.
It's opinion based, really. Whatever you find first is of course going to be better; you're more familiar with it. Usually movies will mess something up one way or another but sometimes it can be forgiven.
But I have found some movies that are better than the books. Examples:
Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants: (ignoring the fact that every sibling was cut out, though they were arguably useless to the story) I thought the movie was much better done in exploring the characters and getting you to feel for them. In my opinion, Baily and Kostos were handled much better in the movie because they feel more like real people you could befriend, unlike in the books when they felt much too much like archetypes.
Coraline: Though the book is still pretty darned good (and terrifying), the movie was an excellently well done expansion. I especially enjoyed how the relationship between Coraline and her parents was given more focus and depth than in the original. Some of the characters had some weird handling (Mr. B especially) but they were still entertaining and the scenes of Coraline getting the ghost eyes back weren't any less chilling.
tl;dr version: Don't be snotty and write off every adaption as being bad JUST because it's an adaption; sometimes they really do try.
Well books tend to put out more details about the characters and the surrounding nature. The movie, doesnt really do that. Sometimes in books, you can feel what the character is feeling and see what the character is seeing but not too well in movies.
I prefer movies cuz i dont like to read, but lets not be like Hannah Montana and wait for the movie XD
well, i think that if you read a book first..then the book will be better than the movie..
but sometimes if i see the movie first, then it's harder for me to get into the book, because movies leave out so much detail, then when i read to book i think that the detail is pointless..
So thats why i prefer to read book before i see movies..because i like reading more than i like watching tv..just like you said :)
Yes. I agree with you. Books are always better than the movies.
However, there is one exception for me, and that i the movie ';Speak'; based off of the novel by Laurie Halse Anderson.
I thought that that movie was the equal to the book, imo. I loved the book, but I thought the movie was great, too.
Answer mine, please?:

Whenever movies are made from books, it's because the book is just THAT good. So I'll say probably. I haven't read/seen them all though, so I can't say a definite one or the other.
Plus it's just opinion.
definitely true!
i always love the books better than the movies.
they have a lot more detail and you can picture the characters any way you want!
:)
I must agree with you. I'm not a fan of tv either, I would much rather have a book.
i will say that movies are better than books
