mormons think it's on the same lvel as the Bible, e.g. they have 2 Holy Books...bible+Book of mormon....so yes it's false cause God says ';If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: '; ....so yeah there you have it.Is the Book of Mormon true, false, or something else?
It's another book full of great stories just like the Bible, the Quran, the Vedas, etc. It's not true or false. Is the Book of Mormon true, false, or something else?
its just a book like any other book
its called 100% crazy
It's as fictional as the bible.
its as true as the Bible or as untrue
It's true. It's the word of God.
';...present scholarship has revealed that Joseph Smith did not translate the Book of Abraham by the power of God as he had claimed. We know for a certainty that the partial translation of the Kinderhook plates was obviously not a divinely inspired translation as well. It follows that if he did not translate the Book of Abraham by the power of God, and he did not translate the Kinderhook plates by the power of God, then it would be very easy to conclude that he did not translate the Book of Mormon by the power of God either. Obviously Joseph Smith had a vivid imagination and was perfectly capable of simply making up ';translations'; of real and imagined ancient texts.';
It is the most boring thing ever put between two covers. Seriously. Puts the phone book to shame.
Did you see the Southpark episode on this?
It pretty much answered that question for me. It's a load of crap in my opinion, made up by some dillusional man in the US.
If you haven't seen it, go ahead and download a pirated version or be a good boy and go to the movie store.
It's as true as the bible.
The reference in Revelations to ';adding things to this book'; refers to Revelations, not the bible. When Revelations was written, the bible did not exist.
Why don't you read the book and find out? The Book of Mormon contains a promise that if you read the book with a sincere heart, with faith in Jesus Christ, and ask God if it is true, then the Holy Spirit will manifest the truth of it unto you. Isn't that better than archeology, or taking someone else's opinion for it?
I read the book, prayed about it, and I'm here to tell you that it is true.
Written by a lizard.
Really.
You decide.
Forget it, its man made. You shouldnt add to or take away from the word of God, the holy bible.
will it is true in the sense that i can use it to embarras mormons
never read it....couldn't tell ya....but would have to guess something else
FALSE...archaeology doesn't supports its stories unlike of those in the Bible.
The Book of Mormon is true. It is as true, if not more (only because of so many mistranslations over the years), as the Bible is. As for the people who claim that archeology doesn't support it, there are many proofs such as the bearded white god (Quezalcoatl or Kuklucan) of the Mayans and Aztecs who promised to return. There are also many likenesses between different things to do with the Ancient Americas and things of the Holy Land. An example is the temple at Tulum, Mexico (Mayan). It is built in the same likeness of the temple of Solomon or the tabernacle of Moses. I personally know that the Book of Mormon is true.
